Roman Polanski settles lawsuit alleging director raped teenager in 1973

The French-Polish film director, who fled the US more than four decades ago after being convicted of sexually assaulting a child, was set to face a civil trial in LA, but his lawyers announced on Tuesday that a settlement had been reached.
