Amalfi, October 1968. The Italian art critic Germano Celant invited a group of young artists to the Mediterranean coast, where their works in wood, straw or canvas were a real eye-opener. Their work, which he dubbed ‘arte povera,’ broke all the codes. These three days launched the careers of these visual artists, to whom the Bourse de Commerce in Paris is devoting an exhibition.
